The aim of the association is to promote and disseminate the results of research into Indian religions, especially as regards their encounter with the Western intellectual world and Christian spirituality. The De Nobili Research Library (DNRL) pursues this aim through the publication of the series "Publications of the De Nobili Research Library" (PDNRL), through its maintenance of the De Nobili Research Library, on loan to the Research Library for South Asian, Tibetan and Buddhist Studies from the Academy of Sciences, and through holding interdisciplinary symposiums.
