Digitized Sanskrit and Prakrit MS Catalogues

It has been said that, “Of the whole collating project, the hardest part to carry out with complete success is probably the business of finding out what manuscripts there are.” (M. L. West, Textual Criticism and Editorial Technique, p.64). Manuscript catalogues in this digital collection provide critically important information about the existence and locations of Carakasaṃhitā manuscripts in various libraries worldwide. They have contributed to the planning of the several tours that have been made to India for the purpose of gathering manuscript evidence for the present project.
